Systune vs AppCleaner
Look beyond the app you want to remove.
Which should you choose?
Choose Systune’s planned workflow for reviewed cleanup across your Mac, disk investigation, security checks and settings snapshots. Choose FreeMacSoft’s AppCleaner when your task is removing an installed app and finding its related files. Systune’s orphaned-data cleanup is not a complete installed-app uninstaller.

Why choose Systune’s approach?
Removing one app is only one possible storage task. You may instead need to understand a large development folder, review caches, inspect startup entries or check security configuration. Systune combines those investigations with an explicit plan before cleanup.
The cleanup categories describe what they contain and attach a risk level. Careful and dangerous categories start switched off. A separate disk view helps you explore large files without assuming that large means unwanted. The CLI and TUI make the same core useful in a terminal.
For a Mac owner who wants to keep working after the first storage finding, that wider scope is Systune’s reason to exist. It also brings settings snapshots and a configuration audit into the workflow. Those additions are useful only if they answer questions you actually have.
Where AppCleaner is ahead
AppCleaner is built around selecting an installed application and finding its associated files. That focused removal flow is available today. Systune currently scans for data left by apps that are already gone; it does not provide the same installed-app uninstaller. [1]
A focused tool can also be easier to choose when you have one narrow job. You do not need a security dashboard or a settings catalog just to investigate an application’s files. FreeMacSoft provides macOS-specific downloads; check the one that matches your system. [1]
